Who are you becoming?
The thr1v3 philosophy emerged from my personal journey of searching for meaning in my life.
I had achieved what the world defines as success: a master’s degree (honor), a good job (position), and a house (wealth), yet I felt empty and unfulfilled. My life was a meaningless routine of get up, go to work, come home, go to bed, get up and do it all over again. Sure, I hung out with friends on the weekend, met new people, saw new places, and tried new things but I felt like I was simply existing and not truly living. I was doing what everyone else was doing and trying to find myself in the midst of it all.
I wanted something different. I wanted off the hamster-wheel of life so began searching for deeper meaning – Who am I? What do I want? Why am I here? It was in my seeking that thr1v3 was born and began to grow. What started as a logo depicting the Lion, the Lamb, and God’s Promise, evolved into seven disciplines, each corresponding to a color in the rainbow.
Exploring personal growth through the lens of the seven disciplines makes it easier to identify and set attainable goals. Embarking on the journey of personal growth can be overwhelming. It took time for you to become who are you are today and it will take time to become who you want to be in the future.
You can take intentional steps towards becoming the person you want to be by asking How do I want to grow spiritually, relationally, intellectually, physically, professionally, and/or emotionally? By breaking down personal growth into smaller, more manageable pieces, it is easier to set specific and attainable goals.
The process of self-discovery and personal growth is a life-long journey. Your personal growth process begins with acknowledging change is needed and determining the actionable steps to achieve the desired transformation. Once the plan is created, it is time to practice, practice, practice! Be patient in the process!
